CONFERENCE REMITS SUBMISSION TO GOVERNMENT [BY TELEGRAPH SPECIAL P.EPOBTEE] WELLINGTON", Thursday Resolutions covering a vide ranged local body activities, which were passed at the last annual conference of tli? New Zealand Municipal Association at Rotorua, were placed before the Gov. ernment to-day by a deputation comprising the president of the association Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, Mayor of Wellington, IMr. J. O'Shea, counsel to tie association, and Mr. F. M. Martin, secretary. The representations were .received by the Prime Minister. Mr. Forbes, the Minister of Public "Works, the Hon. J. Bitchener, and the Minister of Interns! Affairs, the Hon. J. A. Young, who promised consideration of the varioui matters discussed. In introducing the deputation Mr Hislop said that the fact of the conference being the first for .three years accounted for the large number of remits.
