PONSONBY MODEL YACHTS The Ponsonby Model Yacht Club held three races for model yachts in St. Mary's Bay boat harbour yesterday afternoon. The results were:— Three-foot Class (seven starters).—Val Hoy, 1; Billy. 2; Billy Boy. 3. Four-foot Class (si?ven starters).—Scat, 1; Lena, 2; Okere, 3. All-comers' llf»idinap (10 starters). —Billy Boy, 1: Lena, 2; Lionoil, 3. WAKATERE BOATING CLUB The Wakatero Boating Club opened tho season by holding two handicap races yc9torday, eleven boatu competing. The flrßt race, over tho club's triangular course at Narrow Neck, gave Wiritoa an easy victory. Finishing times were:—Wiritoa, ]'2h 40m 4(>s, 1; Wanderlust and Waironga, 12h 52m 10s, dead-boat, 2; Whakawhero, 4h 12m 535, 4. The second race, round the Sandspit buoy, was won by Wahine. Finishing times were:—Wahine, 3h 54m 225, 1; Whakawhero, 3h 54m 40s, 2; Waimarie. 8h 55m 325, 3; Wattle, 3h 155 m 325, 4. Wiritoa recorded fastest time.
