DANCE AT NORTHCOTE
A spirit of gaiety pervaded the " hard-up" danco held in the King s Theatre at Northcote to advance the interests of the Northcote school Queen, Yolande Cross, in the carnival for the dental clinic in the Birkenhead group. The varied and striking garb of the dancers created much amusement. Additional merriment was provided by a "mock court," presided over as ]udge by Mr N. E. Heath, the prosecutor being Mr. P. C. Cross and the policemen Messrs. G. W. Simpson, A. E. Harding and W. Milhgan The function was organised by a ladies committee, comprising:— Mrs. H. H. bhaw, Mrs P C. Cross, Mrs. N. S. Davidson. Mrs L. G. Gimblctt, Mrs. H. W. Williams, Mrs. J. Blake, Mrs. F C ?v.-m----hnnk Mrs. W. K. A. Stewart, Mrs. A. Taylor, Mrs. J. W. Lethbridge and Mrs. B. Anderson.
