TURNBULL AND JONES
ANNUAL STAFF DANCE Particularly bright decorations were to be seen last evening, when the staff of Messrs. Turnbull and Jones held their annual dance in the Akarana Yacht Club rooms. Ferns and mimosa flanked the walls, while red, white and blue streamers and balloons formed a canopy over the dancers, which was very attractive. During the evening a demonstration of the waltz and quickstep, given by Miss Natalie Stratton and Mr. Mathew Stratton, was watched with interest. The ladies on the committee present were: —Miss M. Healy, who wore black crushed velvet; and Miss N. Gavey, in willow, green georgette with violet coatee. Among those present were:—Mrs. B. Tyer, who .wore midnight blue crepe de chine; Mrs. L. Beddeck, in cardinal red flat crepe; Mrs. H. Capper, black satin beaute; Mrs. S. L. Dryland, black ring velvet; Mrs. A. Nash, ciel blue floral georgette; Mrs. R. ■ Hayman, black taffeta; Mas. R. Watkins, black Chantilly lace; Mrs* E. Bint, forest green organdie; Mrs. H. Takerei (Tauranga), cherry georgette; Mrs. I. Morrison, black tucked georgette; Mrs. K. B. Darrow, ivory satin beaute; Mrs. H. R. Swan, eau de nil taffeta; Mrs. W. McKenzie, russet green flat crepe; Miss P. Piesse, black taffeta; MJss H. Molloy, daffodil geqrgette; Miss M. Dye, ivory tucked organdie; Miss K. Franklin, white broderie anglaise; Miss A. Leverne, black Chantilly lace; Miss M. Heath, Burgundy satin and tulle; Miss M. Watson, Nile green floral taffeta; Miss M. Shellam, phlox pink ninon; Miss E. Moore, japonica pink frilled georgette; Miss L. Hogan, emerald green chiffon; Miss D. TXpton, petunia floral ninon; Miss R. Burke, sea green georgette and taffeta; Miss K. Morpeth, amber and black floral georgette; Miss M. Hutton, fuchsia flat crepe; Miss Joyce Lovegrove, moss green blistered crepe; Miss R. Greenwood, foxglove pink taffeta; Miss P. Levy, ivory satin; Miss L. Bremner, leaf green flat creno; Miss G. Lusty, poblein blue floral taffeta; Miss E. Sharp, black velvet and lace; Miss D. Hatcher, grey and cherry coin spotted georgette.
