"OUT OF YESTERDAY"

SOME OF THE FROCKS In "Out of Yesterday," a play written by Mrs. Nello Porter and produced in the concert chamber last evening in aid of Prosperity Week funds, some very attractive frocks were seen. The scene was set in the first act in a London night club and Miss Mona Walbank, who played the part of Madame Hela, wore a backless gown of black angelskin with sequinned shoulder bands and skirt cut on fitting lines to the knees from where it flared to form a train at the back. An intriguing silver wig and mask were also worn to hide her identity as Madame Hela. When appearing in the country cottage she was in a frock of brown marocain with shoulder cape lined with beige georgette. Triangular pockets with beige pipings and buttons added to its attractiveness, and with it was a brown hat with eye-veil and marmot fur cape. Another very attractive frock was of flame georgette with tightfitting bodice and frilled cape sleeves. The skirt was generously flared and trimmed with rows of pin-tucks finishing with a three-frilled hemline. Her Parisian 6and.als were to tone. An unusual frock was of plum wool lace buttoned at the back and finished with a velvet tie-collar and leg-o-mutton sleeves. A close-fitting felt hat, grey snake skin bag and' grey gauntlet gloves added distinctiveness to the frock. Miss Edna Thomas, as nurse to Madame Hela, wore a frock of black taffeta with cream georgette collar and cuffs. Her bonnet was of black velvet and straw with ostrich tips. Among the frocks worn by Miss Freda Crosher, who played the part of Marlene Tauber, was one of pale pink organdie with a demure frilled shoulder capo.
