MISSIONARY WORK
At the Pitt Street Methodist schoolroom, under v tho auspices of tho Women's Missionary Auxiliary, a lantern lecture was given by Sister Eleanor Dobby, who for 12 years has been doing ( deaconess' work among, tho Maoris in tho Hokianga district. Tho Rev. W. Walker presided over > a good attendance. Sister Eleanor showed a largo number of slides dealing with different aspects of her work, ! also some scenic views. Tho lecturer 1 was followed with keen interest,, and a . collection in aid of Sister Eleanor's 1 work, amounting to over £3, was I taken up. ____
