PLAYERS ' WEST COAST TEAM The West Coast Rugby League represen- . tative touring team,.which will play .Auckland at Carlaw Park next Saturday, was welcomed to Auckland last evening by-.-i. ■ officials of the Auckland Rugby League. Mr. G. Grey-Campbell, chairman of the management committee, expressed pleasure at extending a welcome to the first West Coast representative team to visit Auckland. *-> He congratulated the visitors on their eplendid win over youth Auckland, ana assured, them of a good game next Saturday. _ T '"' In extending \ welcome on behalf ot New Zealand Rugby League Council. Mr. C A. Snedden said Aucklanders were always interested in the doings of the code on the,..., West Coast. Tho victory of the ream last- — - Saturday in the Northern Union Cup match was one of the most pleasing incidents in - the history of tho code. He hoped the game in the South Island would benefit as a result of the West Coast team's succey. ' The visitors' manager. Mr. L. Hunter, said the West Coast team was a powerful combination and hoped to win all ° the tour. "Our victory over South Auckland will give the game an impetus on the \\ est .
