? DEFENDER IN QUEBEC PEARCE NOT UNDER-RATED QUEBEC. Aug. 3 Ted Phelps, world's champion sculler, who is to defend tho title against Bobby Pearce, the former Australian, arrived in Quebec to-day. Phelps says ho believes his race with Pearce will bo a close affair. " Thero is not much ho does not know," lie remarked.
