FAULTY PACKING
Faulty packing of vegetables resulted in the prosecution of two Chinese, Ah Shce and Gin Lee, before Mr. W. R. McKean, SiM., in the Police Court yesterday. The cases were brought by the inspector of orchards. Ah Shee, whose sacks of cauliflowers were found on two occasions to have poor cauliflowers beneath those of good quality, was fined £2, and a similar penalty was imposed on Gin Lee in respect of sacks of cabbages.
