STRATFORD RAILWAY
TRANSFER TO DEPARTMENT [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday The Stratford Main Trunk line will probably be handed over to the Railway Department by the Public Works Department at the end of the present month. It is hoped to commence a passenger service to Auckland about the middle of September.
