DANCE AT NORTHCOTE

CHILDREN'S SWIMMING POOL The provision of a swimming pool for children at Hall's Beach, Northcote, is being advanced by a committee comprising Messrs. J. Brennan, G. H. Edwards, A. E. Hicks and' 11. S. Norman. It is proposed to construct this in concrete in the sandstone foundation near high-tide mark. Tho dimensions suggested jire 20ft. long, 10ft. wido and 9i'n. deep. It is hoped to have this facility in readiness for tiny tots with the arrival of the swimming season in the* 1 coining summer. With the object of raising funds for the purpose, a dance was held last evening in the King's Theatre, and was a most enjoyable function. The members of the ladies' committee present were:—Mrs. G. Dunn, who wore a frock of black satin and lace; Mrs. N. S. Davidson, in black crepe do chine; Mrs. G. H. Edwards, bluo georgette; Mrs. A. E. Hartigan, black satin; Mrs. N. G. Watson, pink georgette: and Mrs. A. E. Hicks< bluo satin. Mr. It. S. Norman had charge of the floor arrangements and the music was supplied by Mr. W. Mayall's orchestra. Extras were played by Mrs. N. R. Harris. Among those present were: —Mrs. J. Brennan, Mrs. E. C. Fowler, Mrs. C. A. Clark, Mrs. N. It. Harris, Mrs. A. Wrightson, Mrs. 11. S. Norman, Mrs. C. Morrison, Mrs. G. Stewart, Mrs. D. Taylor, Mrs. S. Tattam, Mrs. C. Harkin, Mrs. G. Brunton, Mrs. J. Stewart, Mrs. D. Gray, Mrs. S. McFetridge, Miss Lorna Mackie, Miss Hilda Dunri, Miss Peggy Brennan, Miss 0. Hooper, Miss E.
