" - ■■ ,V Mr. Justice Adams was bora at _ Taieri Mouth in 1861 and was educated in Dunedin, He practised in Dunedin.. and was appointed Crown Solicitor there in 1920. In the following year he received his Judgeship. He is a promii nent Baptist and was formerly a president of the Baptist Union and of the i New Zealand Alliance. J It was announced recently that it was the intention of the Government to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr. Justice Adams and the question of appointing a successor was engaging the attention of the Cabinet. §
