OFFENCES BY LABOURER IMPRISONMENT FOR THEFT [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Wednesday A labourer, Leslie Clifton Arthur Payne, aged 31, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence to-day on charges of breaking and entering. He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on a theft charge on which ho elected to be dealt with summarily. This term is to be served on the expiration of a sentence now being served. On tho other theft charges, accused was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, concurrent with existing sentences. Houses which accused admitted breaking into were at Taupo and National Park.
