THE RANGITATA The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-liner liangitata is scheduled to leave London to-day with passengers and mail lor New Zealand, and curgo for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. THE CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR Tho Canadian Constructor, which is due from Montreal, via Australia. to-morrow morning will berth at Central Wharf to discharge and load before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete her cargo. THE MARIPOSA The Matsou liner Mariposa was to leave Loa Angeles yesterday for Auckland, via Island ports. MONTEREY LEAVES SYDNEY The Matsori liner Monterey cleared Sydney at mid-day yesterday for Los Angeles and San Francisco, via Auckland and Island ports. The vessel is due at Auckland on Saturday morning and she will resume her voyage at one o'clock on Saturday alter* noon. PIAKO REPORTS Wireless advice received from the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Piako states that she will arrive from New York on August 7. CARGO FROM THE EAST The Union Company's chartered steamer Narbada is scheduled to leave Calcutta early next month for Penang. Singapore and Samarang to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedm and Bluff. PASSENGERS ON LARGS BAY The following passengers for New Zealand are travelling by the Aberdeen. Commonwealth liner Largs Bay, at Sydney from London next Monday.Mr. and Mrs. W. P. THE NIAGARA The Royal Mail liner Niagara, which is due at Auckland from Vancouver on Monday, August 7, is scheduled to Bail for Sydney at three o'clock the following day. At Sydney she will bo withdrawn for overhaul and will be replaced by the Monowai, which will leave Sydney for Vancouver on August 17. GOLDEN COAST DELAYED The American steamer Golden Coast, which was due from Los Angeles at noon to-day, reported yesterday that she was being delayed by bad weather, but the report did not state when she expected to arrive. The vessel will berth at Princes Wharf to unload cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She will complete discharge at Wellington and Australian ports. ZEALANDIC DUE TO-MORROW The Shaw, Savill and Albion motor-ship Zealandio is due to-morrow from Liverpool, via Capetown. She will berth at Queen's Wharf. The vessel has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain, as well as a quantity of cargo from Capetown. Her discharging ports are Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. CARGO FOR THE ISLANDS The Union Company advises that cargo for Apia will be despatched from Auck- j land by the Monowai on August 22 fot transhipment to the Waikawa at Suva. Cargo for Nukualofa, will be despatched by the Karetu, which is due at Auckland on August 14, and is to sail for Suva and Nukualofa, via Newcastle and Sydney, on August 16. THE RANGITIKI The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-liner Rangitiki arrived at Tokomaru Bay from Napier at 9.30 o'clock yesterday morning to continue loading, but the weather conditions were very unsettled. The vessel is expected to sail for Auckland late on Saturday night to complete her cargo. She is due at this port on Sunday afternoon and the following Friday she is to be despatched for London, via Panama. ■ THE MATAKANA The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana is to leave Cairns to-morrow foi New Plymouth, where she will commence loading in New Zealand. The vessel is due at New Plymouth next Tuesday, and ehe will also load at Wanganui... Napier, and Wellington. She is scheduled to clear .Wellington for London on August 12. THE BARQUE MEDWAY Referring to the sale to Japanese shipbreakers of the tanker Myr Shell,* which was formerly the clipper barque Medway. a correspondent, who served for 11 months in the vessel when she was a barque, states that she was built for the Spanish Government for the training of cadets and her first name was Ama Begonaka. After making one voyage she was laid up in Bilboa Harbour for four years and later she was sold to Messrs. Devitt and Moore, . London, who used her as an ocean training ship and renamed her Medway. He states that as a training ship she was employed in the Australian trade from 1910 until the outbreak of the war. She carried JS cadets, an instructor and a doctor, in addition to a full crew and was considered one of the finest and best found ships sailing out of London. On her return to London from Australia at the outbreak of th» war she was laid up until she was sold to tho Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company, who fitted her up as a motor tanker and renamed her Myr Shell.
