HUSBAND SEEKS DIVORCE "EXTREME MENTAL CRUELTY" LOS ANGELES, July 17 Mr. David Hutton, who rose from obscurity as ii choir singer to international notoriety as the third husband 'of Aiinee McPherson, lias commeneed a .suit for divorce against the famous woman evangelist. The baritone alleges extreme mental cruelty, particularly referring to the great humiliation and embarrassment his wife caused by cabling him recently that she was tho mother of a bouncing baby son. It appears that Ainiee admitted sending this cable to Paris, her intention being to discover if there was any leakage from the Los Angeles telegraph office. The leak occurred, for Mr. Hutton read an announcement in a morning paper that lie was a father before he received the cable itself. Mr. Hutton complained that Aimco left the control of affairs of the Angelus Temple in interests hostile to himself while she went to Paris for a face-lifting operation, which was described in the newspapers as something very serious. "The Angelus Temple needs peace and rest from Hippodrome tactics," said Mr. Hutton. He said that he would start a theatrical tour next week. '
