BRIDGE AFTERNOONS

A bridge afternoon was given yesterday by the members of the BayswaterBelniont Women's Society at the residence of the president, Mrs. H. H. Baclj, of Norwood Road, Bayswatcr. The proceeds were in aid of the Plunket funds. Prizes were won by Mrs. Watt (highest number) and Mrs. Sellars (lowest number). A bufiet tea was served in the breakfast room, where the tables were decorated with yellow jonquils. In the evening a number of those unable to play in the afternoon made up tables for bridge. Among the players were: —Mrs. Rotter, Mrs. Sellars, sen., Mrs. Braund, Mrs. Waddell, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Reid, Mrs. Ralph White, Mr*. F. Gftudin, Mrs. MoDuff, Mrs. Preston-Thomas, Mrs. Pierce, Mrs. C. Brinsden, Mrs. Lonergan, Mrs. Watson, Mrs. M. Connelly, Mrs. Easson, Mrs. It. McLeod, Mrs. R. McLean, Mrs. Watt, Mrs. K. Sim in, Mrs. B. Francis, Mrs. Wlieeler, Mrs. Rabbidge, Mrs. Mellor, Mrs. Reeve. Mrs. W. White, Mrs. Auger, Mrs. Dowle, Miss Dowle, Miss Joy Vcrron. A card afternoon was organised by the North Shore Guide Committee and held yesterday in the Navy League Hall. Mrs. D. A. Clarke acted as hostess. Among those present were:—Mrs. R.
