OUTINGS AT WHAKATANE [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHAKATANE, Monday Members of the Whakatnno ward of the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt Club held meets on Saturday and to-day. On Saturday there was a large muster of members nt Awakeri, and two good runs were obtained. Unfavourable weather interfered with tile day's sport. _ , To-day the hunt started from Te Teko with a good following, but so numerous were the hares that although several were put up hounds became mixed with tlic scent and no kills were secured. WAIKATO CLUB MEET AT BRUNT WOOD [from ovr own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Monday Wet weather marred the week-end meet of the Waikato Hunt at Bruntwood There waß n field of 30. Hares were plentiful and the scent was good. Several riders sustained falls owing to the "sticky ' nature of the country, but no one was seriously injured.
