OILFIELD WRECKAGE
TRINIDAD HURRICANE GREAT LOSS ENTAILED VANCOUVER, June S3 A message from Port of Spain, Trinidad, states that havoc reigns on the Palo Seco oilfields as tlio result of Tuesday's hurricane, which caused at least 11 deaths. Reports state that thousands of people are homeless in a score of villages and that 300 house# Were destroyed in Erin alone. A message from Palo Seco ,says 60 derricks of the Trinidad Petroleum Company wero felled and destroyed, and that the oil is flowing over the countryside from about 20 wells and storage tanks. The main delivery line, which runs for 11 miles through the forest to the United British refinery, was broken by falling trees, and the entire contents have been lost.
It is reported that the hurricane is continuing in a north-westerly direction toward Jamaica.
