BOOKMAKERS' DECISION
OPERATIONS TO CEASE MELBOURNE, June 17 Forty-two bookmakers have decided not to renew their permits for Flemington this year, beginning on July 1. The chief causes are heavy taxation, totalisator opposition and heavy working expenses.
