STANLEY WOODS AGAIN AN AWARD FOR S. MOSES (Received June 18, 11.45 p.m.) LONDON, June 17 Stanley Woods, who won the Junior Tourist Trophy, won the senior race to-day for machines of 500 c.c. maximum engine capacity. Woods won the same " double " last year. He rode a Norton motor-cycle. Twenty-nine riders contested to-day's race over the mountain course, a total distance of 264 miles. The foreign competitors were outclassed, and Woods led throughout. He finished in 3 hours 15 minutes 35 seconds, averaging 81.04 miles an hour. J. Simpson, on a Norton, was second, averaging 80.41 miles an hour. _ Hunt, also on a Norton, was third, with an average of 79.49. The lao record was broken three times during the ra#e. and is now held by Woods, whose speed for a single circuit represented 82.7 miles an hour. Sidney Moses (New Zealand) retired in tho iirst lap. Moses has been presented witli the Ni'shet award for pluck and endurance in the Tourist Trophy races.
