BOYS FOR FLOCK HOUSE
RETURNED SOLDIERS' SONS
INITIAL FARM TRAINING
[BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION]
TALMERSTON NORTH. Sunday
The trustees of Flock House to-day notified all patriotic associations and tho returned soldiers' associations, through the central Flock House committee, Wellington, that as a result of negotiations with the Government and a reduction in costs, they wero enabled to continue to take the sons of New Zealand returned soldiers at Flock House for initial farm training. During the last year 84 sons of NewZealand returned soldiers were received at Flock House and of these 52 completed their .training and have been placed in permanent employment on farms and stations, leaving 32 still in process of training. No boys have been received during the last three months, but it is understood that a considerable number of applications from suitable youths are in the hands of patriotic and returned soldiers' associations, and it is confidently expected that the number in residence at Flock House will quickly rise to the GO that can be accommodated.
