SOUTH AUCKLAND MATCHES [from our own correspondent! PUKEKOHE, Friday The club competitions being conducted by the Manukau, Pukekohe, Waiuku and Franklin Rugby Unions are to be completed by July 8. The unions will then select their representative teams, which will compete in the South Auckland Union's competitions, starting on July 22. Later, the South Auckland team is to be selected and is to play the Navy team at Pukekohe on August 19. The annual competition among primary school teams for the Roller Mills Shield is also to be held in the South Auckland Union's district this year. . . The newly-formed Mangatawhiri Union is affiliated to the Franklin Union, and Mangatawhiri players are thus eligible for selection for the Franklin representative teams.
