RIFLE SHOOTING
WHANGAREI MINIATURE CLUB [from our own correspondent! WHANGAREI. Saturday The Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club held an open competition last evening when ocompeted. The first prize was donated by the vice-president, Mr. M. K. Stewart, and was won by H, Cowper with a seven-shot possible. Five others scored TO with their handicap und e£tcli received a prize. In the ladies' section Mrs. Hill. 60, 4—70, was the winner and Miss B. Whitehouse. 15'.!. t-y!-was runner-up. Miss A. Whitetiouse. o°. 1-I—7o, also won a prize. Following were the best scores: —H. Cowper, 70. scr —<o; rArcher, 69, 1—70: J. Calder, 67, 3—70: Al. D. O'Shea, 65. 5—70; R. Hushes, 66. Mrs. Hill. 66, 4—TO: X. Chissell. 62. to —<0; Miss B. Whitehouse, 62, 8—70; Miss A. Whitehouse, 56, 14 —70; W. Norris. 6.>, scr—o9; C. E. Roberts, CP, 1 —"9; S. £• Lowe, 68, 1—60; Miss I.
