INCREASED PRODUCTION
DAIRYING IN WftIKATO HERD-TESTING FIGURES [iROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT! HAMILTON, Thursday This marked improvement in seasonal conditions in the Waikato during April of this year compared with those which prevailed in the corresponding months of 1J32 and 1931, is re<s{ftted in the returns of the New Zealand C'o-opera-tive Herd-testing Association. During April, 1933, 1)7,477 cows were tested, and yielded an average of 4571b. milk and 23.441b. butter-fat per cow. The test was 5.12. In April, 1932, 84,777 cows were tested, and the average production per cow was 3451b. milk and 18.231b. butter-fat. The test was 5.29. There wore 73,874 cows tested in April, 1931, and the average yield per cow was 33.11b. milk and 17.651b. but-ter-fit. The test was 5.31.
Tie returns for April, 1933, show an increase in. the yield over the 1932 figures of 1121b. milk and 5.211b. fat, and over the 1931 figures of 1461b. milk and 5.791b. fat.
