BEAUTIFYING TAURANGA

WORK OF THE SOCIETY [from octr own correspondent] TAURANGA. Saturday It was reported by the president at the annual meeting of the Tauranga Beautifying and Horticultural Society that the planting of flowers and trees had been carried out in Cameron Road, Herries Park and at the entrance to tho military cemetery. Two shows were held and both were successful. The ca.sh balance was £ls. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. A motion was unanimously carried to the effect that the society suspend activities for 12 months. A vote of condolence with the relatives of tho late Mr. R. H. Cazalet, a leading member of the society, was passed.
