DROWNED IN RIVER

FATE OF YOUNG BOY PLAYING BENEATH BRIDGE [by Telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Monday An inquest was held to-day into thg death of Ronald Frank Little, aged nine years, whose body was recovered yesterday near the mouth of the Hutt River. The coroner found that the boy, while playing beneath a pipe bridge, fell into the Hutt River and was drowned. R. P. Durrant described the finding of the body on a mud flat covered by water at high tide near the river mouth. "It is quite evident that it was a pure accident,", said the coroner in giving his verdict. He added that he had visited the bridge and found there was no means of crossing beneath it.
