MENTAL PATIENTS

MISSING FROM AVONDALE ONE FOUND IN NEWTON Two male inmates of the Avondale Mental Hospital were reported missing from tho institution early on Sunday evening. One was found wandering in Karangahape Boad at about ten o'clock last evening and was immediately taken back to 'the institution. The other is still at large. Tho two men are both described as mild cases. They wero not confined to tho building but wero allowed to wander in tho grounds. It is thought they walked out of the gates shortly after dusk and became lost. Descriptions of the two men were circulated to polico stations in tho Auckland district and a constable from the Newton station had no difficulty in recognising the man found in Karangahape Road la si evening-
