CONSCRIPTION ADVOCATE REMARKS CREATE FURORE OTTAWA, May 15 A statement made by Brigadier Anderson at a military banquet that Canada's military training should be on a conscription basis, has created a furore. "It is not the policy of the Government," declares Sir George Perley, acting-Prime Minister. Mr. E. C. St. Pere (Liberal—Montreal) declares: "An official who talks like that should be 'fired.' "
