SNOW STOPS WORK
OTAGO IRRIGATION SCHEME[BY TELEGRAPH OWN* CORRESPONDENT] DUNEDIN, Tuesday Hcavj snow having fallen on the Otago Central mountains earlier than, usual, tlie Public Works Department has been compelled to stop the scheme for increasing the supply of water from the Poolburn irrigation dam next summer. The work is only half completed and a gang of 100 men employed on tho schema is to be transferred elsewhere.
