FUNDS FOR CHURCH NEEDS ANGLICAN SYNOD'S VIEWS ; [BY TELEGBAPH|j|?BESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON", Tuesday The following resolution was passed by the Anglican Diocesan Synod: "That this synod strongly disapproves of art unions, raffles and games of chance as a means of raising money for Church , purposes, and further urges all church-, peoplo to refrain from these as a means i of raising money for any charitable yur- •' pose whatsoever."
