WEED KILLING

Sir, —The quantity of wood killer used by tho City Council on Market Road during tho last few clays would have destroyed all the weeds in tho Sahara Desert. The footpath has run rivers of black, slimy substance, ruinous to shoes and to carpets when carried inside. Our hedges liavo been blackened and disfigured to a height of 2ft., to say nothing of our graden gates, which have also received a liberal sprinkling. Surely at tho present time, when economy is our watchword, ono gallon of mixture per weed would be sufficient, otherwise, leave us our weed. Market Rd. Resident.
