CHURCH JUBILEE
ST. STEPHEN'S, TAMAHERE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday The 50th anniversary of the dedication of St. Stephen's Church, Tamahere, was celebrated by a special servico yesterday. Many old identities were present. The llov. G. 6. Bell, vicar of Cambridge, was the preacher, and the lessons were' read by Mr. E. H. Hammond and Mr. W. 0. Garland. Mr. Garland was present at the laying of the foundation-stone and at the dedication of tho church. Mrs. M. S. Chitty, of Cambridge, who played the organ in the church 50 years ago, plaved one of the hymns yesterday. Mrs. C. Pickering, who was tho first bride to bo married in the church, was also presont.
