WOMAN INJURED
VEHICLE AND TRAM COLLIDE ARREST OF TRUCK DRIVER Injuries to the head, including cuts from flying glass, were by Mrs. Lila Stevens, aged 29, when a motortruck in which she was riding collided with a tramcar in Queen Street, Onehnnga, about 5.30 last evening. The driver of the truck, who was not hurt, was later arrested and will appear in the Onehunga Police Court this morning on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor vehicle. The truck, which was travelling toward the city, struck the back of an inward-bound tramcar as the car was stationary at the • time-clock near the Onehunga post office. The windscreen of the truck was shattered and Mrs. Stevens, who lives in Portage Road, Otahuhu, was cut by fragments. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital. Her condition last evening was fairly serious. Both \*ehicles were damaged, the front of the truck suffering extensively.
