WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
SUMMER SPORTS ENDING Tho change from summer to winter sports is shown in the programme of attractions for the week-end. The official closing of the yachting season will be marked by combined cruising and harbour races. Tho Auckland Outboard Racing Club will hold its final races for tho season on Panmure Basin, and the Auckland Rowing Club will officially conclude its programme. y •' The final round of the Auckland and Suburban Cricket Association's competition will bo entered upon and only friendly games will be played in the senior grade of the Auckland Association. In lawn tennis the primary schools' tourney finals will bo played at tho Windmill Road courts. Among tho gojf clubs holding official openings will be the North Shore Club, the Pupuke Club, the Papakura Club and the Otahuhu Ladies' Club. The opening match of tho Manukau Club will also be played and other golf clubs will hold club matches. The annual meeting of the Auckland Golf Club will be held in the clubhouse in the evening. Most bowling clubs will continue their series of matches.
A special athletic carnival will bo hold at tho Western Springs Stadium during the afternoon and practice or friendly games will be played in all football codes. Long-distance swimming races will be held by the North Shore Club.
