The late W. E. Bidwill, 0.8. E., founded his stud, now to be dispersed, in 1902, when ho secured the famous brood mare Stepfeldt (5), with her filly foal. Culmination, by San Francisco (brother to .St Frusquin). Stepfeldt' was an own sister to the brilliant sire Stepniak, and She, the dam of Bobadil. v.ho became famous in Australia by siring 3!0 winners of £123,190. Stepfeldt bred Stepka (g. dam of Rapier), Elevation. 'Gravitation; Provocation, Tribulation. Reputation, hi" classic winners, and Culmination bred additional classic winners in Suggestion and Devotion, in addition to a great many other winners of handicaps, etc. Other mares used in the stud were Immersion (5). whose dam, Illusion, was a half-sister to Pibroch, the "lam of the brilliant racehorse and successful sire, Menschikofi, and of Stepdancer, ancestress of Warstei..
