PAEROA BURGLARIES
THREE PREMISES ENTERED CLOTHING WORTH £3O TAKEN I [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] PAEROA. Tuesday Three burglaries were committed in Paeroa last night, three business premises being broken into and a variety of goods sfolen. The premises of Mr. D. McWatters, men's outfitter and mercer, Belmont Road, were entered, the thief obtaining an entry by forcing the lock on the front door. At 8 o'clock this morning Mr. McWatters found one of the front doors open and on investigating discovered that a considerable amount of stock was missing. The missing articles included a suit of clothes, an overcoat and a considerable quantity of underwear. The 1 value would be not less than £3O. The premises of Mr. D. J. Evans, grocer, also in Belmont Road, about 100 yards from Mr. McWatters' into. The back door was found open this morning and a quantity of tobacco and groceries was missing. The manager estimated the loss at at least £2 to £3 worth. ' The garage of W. Fleming and Sons, Limited, in Princess Street, was found open and the signs of someone having been in the office were apparent when Mr. Fleming opened the premises this morning. Mr. Fleming cannot state yet if any stock has been taken. At none of the premises entered were the cash registers and safes interfered with. t
