Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on New Zealand Stock Exchanges. In tho second column is given the return, based on tho last annual dividend, from investment at the quoted price. In ealculating the return on shares in companies which pay their dividends outside New Zealand the exchange rates have not been taken into consideration. AUSTRALIAN EXCHANGES YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS (Received March 23, 7.25 p.m.) SYDNEY. March 23 On the Sydney Stock Exchange to-day thefe were fairly heavy dealings in Commonwealth bonds at higher rates. Otherwise there was little change and the market was steady. Sales this morning included :—Commonwealth 4 per cent bonds, 1938, £lO2 15s; 1957, £lO3 6s 3d; 1959, £lO3 10s; 1961, £lO2 ss; Australian Gas, A shares, to £6 18s; Broken Hill Proprietary, 25s 9d.
