ROTARY CLUBS
ANNUAL CONFERENCE LORD BLEDISLOE TO ATTEND ■ ■rlrj The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, has consented to open the conference of Rotary Clubs of New Zealand, afc Palmerston North on February 27. The headquarters of Rotary International has ar> ranged for Mr. £r. F. Birks, of Sydney t a vice-president, to act as its official del©gate to the conference. Among the Auckland delegates will be Sir Joseph Sraitn,, Messrs. T. U. Wells, president of the Auckland Rotary Club, E. E. Kitchener, H. Lawrv, S. J. Harbutt, C. M. Richwhite and C. A. Whitney. In a circular outlining the arrangements in connection with the conference, the organising committee states: — Never before has there been a greater need for the discussion of matters which are so vitally connected with the aims of Rotary, and this fact has been regarded in the framing of the agenda. Never has there been such need for real leadership and constructive thought, and action in the many social and economic problems with which communities are faced."
