TAMAKI YACHT CLUB The third series of races for all classes of boats under 20ft will be held to-day by the Tamaki Yacht Club, and finishing off Kohimarama Wharf. A feature of the racing will be the first heat' for the Speedwell Cup, for which 20 boats of the Wakatere class have entered. The entries total 03 and keen competition is assured, especially in the V class, in winch J5 boats are listed. "_ ■ * ">" v •: The new club course'will be used for all but the Wakatere and Z class. Greenhough and E. P. Wild; recorder, Mr. Wilkinson. WAKATERE OtfE-DESIGN CLASS SPEEDWELL CUP CONTEST . The first race for the Speedwell Cup. donated by Messrs. Walker and Hall for competition in the Wakatere one-design' class, will be sailed over the Tamaki Yacht Club's course to-day. starting off KoJiimarama Wharf at 3.30 p.m. The second race will be held over the Wakatere Club's course on February 18. the third race over the Devotiport Yacht Club's course on February 25 and the final race over the Tamaki Club's course on March 11. All the boats will start from 6cratch and the first three boat® to finish in each heat will not bp eligible to compete in further heats, but will meet the other boats in the final. Only live ballast will be allowed, the minimum weight of the crew being 19 stone. In addition to the cup. a miniature will go to the winner, also prizes for the final of S'2 for first. £1 for second a.nd 10s for third. The entries for today's race are as followsWakatere, Wahine.
