AUCKLAND HOSPITAL

Sir,—One hears complaints occasionally about the Auckland Hospital. Will you allow me to give my version of it. I was there 16 years ago, and also just recently. I was struck with the wonderful improvement made in the 16 years. The food is excellently cooked and very kindly served; in fact 1 have only praise for the hospital and the way all the patients are handled. Doctors and nurses are the personification of patience and kindliness. At least that is what I experienced in ward 15. Ex-Patient.
