ONEHUNGA BUSINESS MEN

FUTURE OF GEDDES BASIN Criticism regarding the difficulty of obtaining definite information concerning the Onehunga Borough Council s plans in regard to the future of Geddes Basin was made by members of tbe Onehunga-Manu-J<au Chamber of Commerce on 1 hursday. A request by tbe chamber that the council should obt.ain estimates of the cost of converting the basin into a sports groand, or alternately of providing flood gates for a lake and boat harbour, was met by u .reply that the letter had been received. A resolution was carried, deprecating the discourteous and unsatisfactory nature of they council's reply and asking for definite information as to its plans.
