; ;• CHRISTCHURCH BRIDE NEW ZEALAND FRIENDS [l'ROir OCR OWN .correspondent] LONDON, Dec. 22 Miss Nona Isobel Miller (Christchurch) was favoured with a remarkably sunny December clay for her wedding yesterday to Mr."Robert Mac Donald Guthrie, only son of the lute Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson Guthrie', of Glasgow., Miss Miller, who is a daughter of Mr: and Mrs. David Miller, came to Europe 18 months ago 011 a holiday trip and when its duration-was drawing to a close she became engaged to Mr. Guthrie, who is a well-known City man, connected with Lloyd's. The choral ceremony was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Frognal, Hampstead, by Dr. Johnson, and the bride, in the absence of her father, was given away hy Sir Francis Younghusband. Her becoming trained dress was of ivory charmeuse, worn with a veil of lovely lace lent by Mrs. Francis Clarke (formerly Miss J. Mcllardy), a New Zealand friend. Instead of a bouquet sho carried a floral muff trimmed with lovely Catelye orchids. Miss Joan Broadway (Christchurch) was in attendance, wearing a strikingly picturesque dress of peacock blue chiffon velvet and lace, and carrying a floral muff. Mr. Lionel St. Quinton was best man. Following the ceremony, the bridal party and guests drove to 82 Portland Place, the residence of Mrs. Broadway, from whose homo the wedding took place. Many friends, New Zealanders and others, were present. At one of the Courts during the season Mrs. Guthrie will he presented, "on her marriage," by Lady Wilford.
