TE RAPA ACTIVITIES

LIMEX GALLOPS WELL b- ; i PAGANELLI IN GOOD FETTLE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Thursday A heavy fog at Te Rapa this tjiornins interfered with training operations and timing was out of the question. Limex and Pelting left from the six-fur-long peg and were picked up at the fivefurlong post by King Ford. When they emerged from the fog Limex was holding a slight lead, which she maintained to the end. The mare hit out well and will strip in great order at Takapuna. W. J. Broughton will probably be her pilot on Saturday. Pelting also went nicely, while King Ford's effort was encouraging. Paganelli galloped five furlongs, finishing on strongly. Although he has undoubtedly lost some of his brilliancy ho has been more consistent this season than ho has ever been and only once has he been out of the money. He is looking extremely well and his distinct partiality for the Takapuna track will be a factor in his favour.

Valpai left for Takapuna this morning in the charge of L. Everson. This hack has come through a great preparation and it will not be on the score of condition if he fails. His recent work has been done in very pleasing fashion and he should soon provido his connections with some practical consolation .for the bad luck they experienced when Valpai ran second in all his four Btarls in Taj-anaki during the holiday period/ A. P. Brady left yesterday for the Opotilci meeting with No Fooling and Potoa Lad. Both these hacks are only moderates, but in the company they will meet in the Bay of Plenty should have reasonable prospects of success. Both are in good order and have done a fair amount of work. Tradesman and Welcome Lu, who have been nominated for the Egmont meeting, were on tho tracks this morning but were not asked for anything of a very serious nature. Among the others who worked and who moved satisfactorily were The Pullet, Twenty-four Carat.- Sinking Fund, Ruby Meteor and Wilton. Tho local trainer P. Syme is a patient in the Wnikato Hospital at present, but is making good progress toward recovery.

SILVER BINGEN FOR EPSOM The six-year-old pacer Silver Bingen. owned by J. J. Kennerley, is due arrive at Epsom rn Monday to join R. P. Kennerley'a stablo. ftilver Bingen is a useful performer who has won races on the West Coast of tne South Island and has recently been displaying good form. Silver Bingen is by Nelson Bingen from Queen May and possesses both speed and stamina. He 'will be raced at the Auckland Trotting Club s meet' ing next month in tho 2.5ti class events.
