COLLAPSE AFTER WALK

DEATH OF AGED MAN Collapsing on a seat in Mount Eden Road yesterday afternoon after a long uphill walk, Mr. William Francis Dennis Soper, aged 82, of 23 Kensington Avenue, Mount Eden, died a short time later. No inquest will' be necessary, as death was due to heart failure.

Mr. Soper left his home at about 2 p.m. and walked to Mount Eden Road, a somewhat steep climb. Mr. Soper was seen by a workman to sit on a seat near Windmill Road and then collapse'. A doctor was called, but life was extinct.
