INDIAN POLICE OFFICERS VIOLENT SCENE AT SHRINE 'JpCpi CALCUTTA., 'Pec. 20 Two police officers of Hyderabad were battered to death with axes when •* they attempted to arrest the leader of a violent gang who was mixing with pilgrims at a shrine. "When the police moved to secure their man his associates rushed them with swords and axes, and a sub-inspector and' a constable were killed by blows on the neck and head from axes. *■/'-> All the gang escaped, but thp<Xizam of Hyderabad has placed a reward of 1000 rupees on the heads of each'ot tjie gang.
