DOUGLAS SOCIAL CREDIT

Sir, —Once more the Auckland Douglas Credit Association have dodged answering either of my plain and fundamental questions. (1) Do they or do they not propose to use gold as the basis of, their monetary system. (2) If not, what form of paper money they propose to substitute. It is neither to the point nor collect to talk about gold being an " interloper," and to deny that it is the basis of our present monetary system. The question is: is it to bo the basis of theirs? . . . Again it is not for them to challenge inquirers to disprove their theories: it is for them to prove them.' But all they can do is to put forward their A and B theory, founded on false premises, and quote their fatuous Guernsey experiment. As they aro apparently unable to answer my simple and essential questions they stand discredited. Student.
