Warm rain commenced to fall about two o'clock this afternoon and continued until five o'clock, when it eased off. The indications this evening are for a further fall.

Except for the interference with haymaking, the benefits will bo very great and will ensure an abundance of feed for some time. There is an absence of wind and the atmosphere is very warm. Good rain is reported to have fallen in the Dargaville district during the weekend.
