ILLNESS OF PICNICKERS
FIFTY SUFFER SEVERELY
CAUSE STILL UNCERTAIN
FOODSTUFFS SUSPECTED
By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received November 20, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 20 The members of a picnic party near Liverpool were affected by food poisoning yesterday. Fifty adults and children are suffering severely.
The cause of the trouble is not certain, but doctors found that some of the patients became ill after eating tinned food and corned beef.
