WISEMAN CUP COMPETITION
Following were the best cards returned in tho second round of the Frank Wiseman Cup competition, played by members of the Maungakiekio Golf Club at Ono Tree Hill on Saturday:—A. Elliffe, 85, 8-77; D. D. Holland, 80. 9-77. Hawle.v'a excellent gross 73 won for him Ihe concurrent medal match. The play-ofT of tho tie for a previous bogey match was won by J. H. Earle, who finished 1 up. Tho consolation prize was won by R. O. Gardner with a card of 2 down. On tho two rounds in tho Wiseman Cup contest J. 11. Earlo is tho leader with a net total of 110.
GLENDOWIE CLUB The first round of a 36-holes four-ball bogey handicap was played by members of tho Glendowie Golf Club on Saturday. The best cards handed in wore:—O. Wolff gram nnd U. A. AKARANA CLUB A medal round was played by members of the Akarana, Golf Club on Saturday afternoon, and resulted in a win for T. Griffiths, 8(5, 12-7-1. The next best scores returned were:—G. Booth. 93, 18—75; C. Cullen, 83, 8—75; R. Walton, 88, 12—76; G. Colt man. 84, 8—76; E-. Cashmore. 89, 12—77Tyely, 87, 10—77; A Beweti, 92, 11—78; J. Swanson, 80, 2 —78.
NORTH SHORE CLUB The first round of tho Duff Cup modal mutch was played by members of tho North Shoro Golf Club on Saturday. Following were tho best cards:—M. E. Thompson, 68, 5—03; J. A. PUPUIvE CLUB A four-ball best-ball bogey match was played by members of the Pupuke Golf Club on Saturday. The match was for a club trophy and resulted in a tie between G. Walker (10), 11. W.
