RAID DURING A PARTY
Thieves who searched two houses at Stoke Newington recently, took advantage of the noise made by a party in an adjoining house to drown-,Any suspicious sounds tlioy made, •and even made themselves a meal and helped themselves to wine.
The occupants of both houses raided were at a theatre during the evening, and they returned to find the promises in disorder. Clothes had been pulled out of drawers and flung on tho floor, chairs and tables were overturned and even mattresses were pulled off beds. Jewellery, money, articles of gold and silver anrl clothing were included in the thieves' booty. A cash box was ripped open and the contents stolen.
